The more we look at it, the more young farmers are proud to tell us that their profession is a farmer. In the past, the profession of a farmer was seen as a profession that might be looked at by the eye. I think that the paradigm has started to change.

Here we cultivate hydroponic agriculture, plant various kinds of vegetables for personal consumption, then for use in our restaurant, and also to be distributed directly to end users.

We started hydroponics around 4 years ago, around the end of 2016. We started to learn. My background is that I studied in the field of finance and accounting. So there is really no connection with agriculture at all.

I used to study in S1 in Malaysia, at Monash University, as an accountant. Then I continued my studies in S2 in Australia, as a financial student. But I felt that the background education cannot be the benchmark for what we have to be in the future.

So, it's more of a basic knowledge, where all the education is useful for us. After graduating from college, I still had a job as a financial consultant, in the tax field for five years.

Then, my father asked me to help him with his business. I also want to have my own business. So, at that time, we thought that this agriculture was one of the business prospects that would never die. This is an automation panel. It's like the brain of the farm.

Here we set everything, starting from the pump, nutrition, fan, everything is set here. So, like fertilizer concentration or nutrition concentration, pH, all of this is controlled by this tool.

So if we set the nutrition level here, we set it at around 950 ppm. For the pH of the water, we keep it at pH 6. Then for the water temperature, now the condition is at 30 degrees Celsius.

So for the temperature and humidity, we read it, we set it, if the temperature inside is more than 30.5 degrees, then the fan will turn on. So everything is controlled here.

So in this small room, we do a test, a more modern test, where the growth of this plant no longer relies on sunlight, but uses LED lights, where with the use of this indoor plant, in the future, the agriculture in the room will allow for agriculture in the room.

The advantages of indoor farming are that we can arrange them up, the production results are much more than the agriculture that is outside the room. Other advantages of indoor farming are that

increase productivity from the land, it is also easier for us to ensure that the harvest is always consistent. So because everyone relies on technology and does not rely on nature, so the harvest is almost certain to reach the target, the target will not reset. Then using indoor farming, we can also easily manage the climate compared to outside the room.

Also for the spectrum of lamps or lamps that we use, we are testing several types of lamps, where from the results of this experiment we can know that the difference in the spectrum of lamps can produce different plant qualities. In other words, for example, we use spectrum type A, the growth is faster, but in terms of taste,

maybe a little bit longer than for example with spectrum B where the taste is stronger but the plant growth is slower so here we try various types of lamps because in the future we will also

want to produce these vegetable plants indoors. Because there are several types of plants that we can produce, but it requires a cold climate, for example. So because indoors we can use, for example, AC, or it's easier. So for the results of harvesting these vegetables, we mostly distribute them to our own restaurant.

Then there is some retail or end-user distribution in our restaurant. Then we also have supply to restaurants and hotels. But after this pandemic, there is a shift in the distribution pattern, where in the beginning, besides consuming restaurants, we distributed a lot to hotels, because maybe the activities of the hotel itself are reduced, so we promote more to end-users.

To start with the capital, it's actually relative. So, I mean, it depends on how we see the opportunity. Because when we started to do hydroponics, the capital was also small. In other words, when we bought the raw materials, starting from there, it wasn't up to 10 million. So, I mean, we can still

So for young people, I think to build food sustainability, it must start with us as young people. Because we see that the farming profession is getting here, the regeneration of the farming profession is not visible.
