Geografi Kelas X: Apa Itu Geografi?
If you are asked where
you live, what would your answer be at home in Jakarta,
Sabang, Merauke, Paris, New York, or
Zimbabwe, well, wherever you live, you and I
live in the same place
on earth, the earth is our home
and it is the only planet
we know that can support life,
if you think about it, the earth is
very suitable for living things, there is land
that we can step on, water that we can
drink, air that we can breathe, there are
mountains, valleys, rivers, seas, clouds,
in short, I am very grateful to be able to
live on earth, try living on Venus, it is
very hot if you want to live in
reality, what is real is going to satay,
well, what is no less interesting about nature
on earth are the living things
in it, there are those that live on land,
in the sea, there are even those in the air, and
all of them live with the benefits of
the environment around them, the
most interesting thing is the living things that made
this video, what I mean is humans,
you and I are part of
human civilization, what is unique about humans on earth, not
just living, we are the creatures
that change the most, the earth
itself, mountains can become valleys, deserts
can become forests, grasslands become lakes,
and unfortunately, often beautiful environments
become slums, well, homeland,
air urban forests birds and humans
basically the earth and its contents are the
objects of study of geography the
science that studies the earth and
everything in it so
Welcome to geography
[Music]
the term geography comes from the
Greek Geo which means earth and gravein
which means painting or writing so
you could say biography is writing
about the earth well geography is the science that
studies the earth and all
its contents including rocks water bodies weather
climate flora fauna and humans he also
studied the interaction between all the
elements of
geography appeared around 2200 years
ago precisely in Greece at that time
erastosthenes astronomer and writer from
Greece became the first person to
calculate the circumference of the earth he measured it
by comparing the angle of the sun
at noon in two places whose
distance apart was known amazingly
this erastosthenas calculation was
very accurate well he was also the first to make a
map of the earth with the knowledge that existed in
his time and finally he was the one who was
considered to have started the science of geography
in the early development of geography
only recorded phenomena that occurred on the
surface of the earth such as volcanic eruptions waves
in the sea and weather in the air but over time
the science of geography became broader
finally geography also studied the
relationship between the physical phenomena
with social phenomena
related to humans so
currently the object of study of geography is far
In general,
there are two types of objects of study in geography, namely material objects and
formal objects. These material objects are related
to the things being studied, such as mountains,
seas, and humans. While formal objects
are the perspectives or approaches
taken to study
these material objects. These material objects
consist of 5 parts, namely the lithosphere,
biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and
anthroposphere. The
lithosphere is a layer of rock and soil
on earth, mountains,
valleys, and all types of land are
included in the lithosphere. The
atmosphere is the layer of air
around us where
clouds and weather appear. The
hydrosphere is a body of water on earth,
there are rivers, lakes, and oceans. The
flora and fauna that live in the
lithosphere, hydrosphere, or atmosphere
are included in the biosphere. Meanwhile,
humans and all aspects of their lives are
included in the anthroposphere.
5 parts, lithosphere, land,
atmosphere, air, hydrosphere, water, biosphere,
plants and animals, anthroposphere, humans are
all material objects of geography. The
perspectives or formal objects of
geography are also no less important.
This perspective is what distinguishes
geography from other sciences. In
general, there are three types of approaches, namely the
spatial approach or special
approach, the environmental approach or
ecological approach, and the
complex regional approach.
How does this perspective differentiate
between geography and other sciences Well,
if we are observing a lion,
for example, Sisi Mbak, biology will
study the body structure from Sisi Mbak,
such as its legs, how is its eye shape,
how will physics calculate
how fast Sisinga can run?
Meanwhile, geography through a
spatial perspective will observe
the distribution of lions in an area through a
circular perspective will be studied
How does a lion family affect the
surrounding environment Will it
damage or even help improve
the health of the surrounding environment and the
perspective of the regional complex combines the
two approaches Previously he
looked at Whether the presence of
this group of lions will affect the
surrounding area not only the area where the
lion lives, geography
studies all objects of study from
two major aspects, namely physical aspects and
social aspects,
physical aspects are all natural phenomena on
earth that can be directly observed and there
are three types, there are topological aspects, namely
aspects related to the shape of the
earth's surface, the location of an area or
regional boundaries, there are abiotic aspects,
aspects related to
non-living materials such as
land, water or weather, and finally there are
biotic aspects related to flora
and fauna on earth, well, besides the physical aspects,
there are social aspects, aspects
related to human activities on
Earth, these aspects focus on the same The distribution of
humans on earth and how humans
interact with their environment.
There are 4 types of social aspects. There is something
called the social aspect which is related
to community groups and
social institutions. Then there is the
economic aspect which is related to
economic activities such as agriculture, mining,
industry and trade. Third, there is the
cultural aspect which is related to
education, religion, language and art.
Finally, there is the political aspect which is
related to the state and government.
Wow, if you look at the objects and aspects,
geography is very broad and
its relationship with other sciences is very large.
That's why some say that geography
is the largest multidisciplinary science because it
consists of a mixture of many knowledge
because to really understand
all the phenomena that occur on earth we
have to study from various points
of view. In general, the scope of
geography is usually divided into 4
physical geography. Social Geography.
Regional geography and technical geography.
Physical geography is a branch of geography that
studies all kinds of
physical phenomena that occur on land,
sea, and air.
Earthquakes, tsunamis, rainstorms. All of these are
studied in physical geography because
the language is also varied.
Physical geography consists of various branches of science,
technology, the science that studies
climate and weather, geomorphology, the science that
studies the surface of the earth and the
process of its formation,
biogeography, the science that studies the
distribution of animals and plants on
earth and hydrology is the science that studies
all kinds of water bodies
on earth.
Well, if Social Geography is a branch of
geography that studies
human activities and behavior on Earth,
for example, economic geography
studies how the surface shape and
distribution of natural resources on Earth
affect
people's trade activities. There is also
population geography that studies the
distribution of humans on Earth, especially in
villages and cities.
If Regional Geography studies the
interaction between physical aspects and
social aspects in an area and the interaction
between different areas,
for example, the interaction between Jakarta and the
cities around it or between
Indonesia and its neighboring countries.
Finally, there is technical geography here, the
technical skills
needed to solve
geographical problems are studied. Do you still remember the Earth's map
erastones? Well, making maps is
one of the things studied in
technical geography, more precisely in cartography.
Currently, besides maps, we also
use remote sensing and
geographic information systems or GIS to
study the Earth in more detail.
Cameras from aircraft or satellites
that orbit the Earth allow us
to see more details of what
is on the Earth's surface, including
forests, oceans, and city streets.
Have you ever used Google Maps to find a way?
Well, to find the most suitable way
for your trip, Google Maps
utilize mapping from remote sensing
Okay friends, this geography is really interesting, it
turns out that not only the earth
is studied, but all its contents,
both plants, animals and humans, are also
studied. Well, today we have
learned about what geography is.
First, we learned about the objects of
geography studies. There are material objects consisting
of 5sware and there are formal objects or
points of view of geography. Then we
learned about the aspects of
geography consisting of physical aspects
and social aspects. Finally, we learned
about the scope of geography
consisting of physical, social,
regional and technical geography.
Well, throughout the geography lesson, we
will thoroughly examine the
various objects of geography studies. If
you want to review again what
we will learn in geography, you can click on the time
stamp below this video.
See you in the next video and
welcome to geography.
