I'm getting married and that just sounds crazy to say out loud. I always thought I had a better chance of finding the perfect spotter but I have found the Boston to my cream pie and I could not be more excited and going into this next chapter of my life I'm focused on the real priorities looking good physically of course but more importantly feeling good mentally. So today I'm going to show you guys some of the stuff I'm doing on a day-to-day basis leading up to the wedding starting with
Morning routine: I wake up every morning at 7 a.m. And it is so satisfying. You know what they say, the early bird gets the girthiest worm. Oh, there he is. Wake up, sleepy head. Anyways, yeah, I used to go to bed at like 2 a.m., 2:30 a.m. doing work that could technically wait till the next day. Now I go to bed every night at 10 p.m. sharp. It's non-negotiable. I won't negotiate.
Sleep is priority right now and nine hours might seem like a lot, but hey, I got big dreams. Then I'll go and make myself a coffee. We use a French press now, which takes a little more effort than I'd like, but Katie says the plastic will kill me and you got to listen to your future wife. I'll bring my coffee outside and sit on the balcony watching and spending some time enjoying the hottest mom around, Mother Nature. Then we go inside and grind until it's time to make brekkie.
It do be about that time. It's brekkie and you guys know I like a sweet breakfast. So I'm going to show you how I make this air fried oat bake thing.
It hasn't really figured out its identity yet. It could be anything. It could be a cookie. It could be a pancake. It could be really whatever. You'll see what I mean in a second, but it tastes really good. Here are the ingredients you're going to need. 60 grams of oats, one teaspoon of baking powder, 32 grams of a protein powder of your choice, 25 grams of blueberries, sweetener of your choice to taste, cinnamon to taste, a splash of cashew milk or any milked nut of your choice, and half a banana. Our first step is we're going to take half our banana and we're going to mash it up into a bowl.
And it should look like a mashed banana. If it doesn't look like this, I'm sorry that wasn't a banana. And now what we're going to do is add the rest of the ingredients in the bowl, mix it up. It's going to form a thick kind of paste. Then we're going to put it into this tray, slide it on in the air fryer.
I forgot to mention, I add some salt to taste as well. It's a nice little touch, just a little bit. I add blueberries. Feel free to add whatever you want. Add chocolate chips if you're bulking or if you took the cut too far, as if that's possible. But really add whatever you want. 25 grams blueberries. And now this is where the art happens. You got to be very precise with your nut milk, okay? So just go a little bit at a time. And I think you'll know when you got it. We got it.
So you're going to take your batter, which looks like doo doo caca, which means it's perfect. Put it onto the tray. And now this is your opportunity to make this thing as big as you want it. You get to decide how big you want this ahead of time. Usually in life, the zipper comes undone. You're like, well, that's what I got to deal with today.
But before you get to put this in your mouth, you get to dictate your own future. I get kind of hyped up. I'm like, how big can I get this thing? Air fryer is set to 375. We're going to do five minutes and then flip it five minutes on the other side. And then we are done. You guys see what I'm saying? Like, what even is this thing? All I know is I want to put it in my mouth, but we're not done yet. So we're going to put on some PB2. I'll take a chance on love, guys. Just not real peanut butter. So one serving.
Spread it on top. Next up, 70 grams of Greek yogurt. At this point, it just makes me feel like I never left Stavros' yacht. And then last but not least, because I'm about to do some sick B-roll, some cinnamon. You hear that crunch? Look at that. This thing is so good. If you like bran muffins, you're going to love this thing.
For the longest time, I'd wake up like every day and I'd feel like shit. Very groggy. When I go to the gym whenever I would train, I'd cramp a lot. And I know I'm pretty late to the game, but because of that stuff, I finally got my blood work done. Turns out, I have very low vitamin D and magnesium. So I started supplementing with them every single day. And lo and behold, my issues are gone.
So I strongly recommend if you don't feel great or I mean, even if you feel fine, everyone should go and get their blood work done just to see what's going on inside your body. So four little drops and one magnesium. Gonna enjoy this and then we're heading to the gym for leg day.
Sipped on some non-stim and five grams of creatine on the way to the gym. If you guys want to save some money on some supplements, use code WILL for 10% off. You don't need supplements. Supplements are a luxury. So if you don't have the extra money, don't buy them. Starting with hamstrings first. The seated hamstring curl, my favorite by far.
So a lot of people you see when they do this exercise will be lying back like this But I encourage you guys to be slightly forward almost like you're reaching for your toes because when I put my legs up And I'm here. I don't feel anything but the second I'm like this Automatically, I feel a stretch in my hamstrings three sets 12 to 15 Leave nothing on the table every set failure
Hamstrings are fried.
Exercise number two. We got the leg extension. Great for the vastus medialis. And one of the very few that really, really destroy the rectus femoris. With the leg extension, I want to lean back. This puts me in a more lengthened and stretched position. It just feels really, really good. You see bodybuilders like Tom Platz, a lot of the old school guys do it. It's kind of coming back now.
And once you get the hang of it, you're actually quite a bit stronger, which means more weight, time under tension, bigger legs. And I'll take that. So what we're going to do here is, again, three sets. First set, straight set, 15 to 20 reps. Once you do that, I'll explain what we do next. First off, say peace to Pine Ridge. Thank you.
Moving into set two. First set, I failed 20 reps. So the goal of the next two sets is to get 20 reps, no matter how I get there. So if I'm going right now, I failed at 14. I'm going to rest five seconds, keep on banging them out until I hit 20. So it could be like 14 reps, three reps, three reps, really whatever it takes to get to 20. It sucks. 16, rest five, one, two, three.
Four more good ones. Holy shit. This is a good rep. It's not bad. But this...
Is a better rep. So we're maximizing our range of motion. We're putting more stretch on the quads. More time under tension. Is there anything more I need to say? Bigger legs. But as always, once it's harder, you will have to drop the weight. So I'm going to work my way up to three sets. Eight to ten rep range. This is my heavier day. Other day I'll do 12 to 15 on this. But man, I tell you, put your feet as low as you can on the pad.
Come down all the way without the heel coming up. Brief pause. Explode out. It catches up to you quick. First working set, nine plates, 10 and a five per side. Let's get to it.
You can have 12 reps to do and once you're at rep 8 you feel uncomfortable you feel like you're done. Sorry for swearing here but don't you dare fucking rack that weight. Those other four reps that's why we're here. That's where shit's gonna happen.
The more that you seek uncomfortable, the more that you will become comfortable. And that's my mindset when I go into leg day that I didn't have before.
When it comes to overload, most of us just think of adding reps or weight, which is great, especially when you're first starting out. But once you get more advanced, you can't just keep on doing that. And the more you force it, the more likely you're going to get hurt. You put more stress on your ligaments, your tendons. You're just going to have some chronic issues like in your knees or your elbows. So is there another way that we can progress? And there's tons. And one of those things being exercise order.
So on my old leg days, my first exercise used to be the hack squat and I could rip like over four plates all day long easy. Now, as you can see, it's my fourth exercise. So I'll obviously be weaker. I'm using less weight, but you will better believe that if I can work my way back up to over four plates on my fourth exercise, I'm going to be a lot stronger. So
Your legs are going to thank you for it. And you're going to get bigger legs. Pretty happy with the work we put in today. Hit PR on the leg press. Hack squat. You know it's a good leg pump. When you lost all your lines from the beginning of the workout. I have something to tell you guys. I've been injecting once a week. I swear IV drips are like the avocado toast of the drug world. They're just like so trendy right now.
But I've been doing IV drips once a week amongst other things like going to bed early, having a bath, going for a walk, just really taking time for me. And it hasn't been since like the past couple months where I've really started to learn to put myself first. I think a lot of people struggle with that. They just, they're so work focused, goal focused that they kind of forget about the most important thing, which is their, their wellbeing. And you just kind of put yourself in the
push down so many like thoughts and feelings and you wonder why you never feel good for example like back when Ollie died my dog for those of you who don't know I actually I had like a panic attack and I fainted in my on my kitchen floor in front of like my whole family and that's probably something that I probably should have dealt with and you know looked into that but I don't even know how but I filmed the next day because I felt like I had to I just couldn't
you know, bear the thought of missing an upload. And the more that I think about it and I look back at it, it really bothers me because I think I really needed that time. And, you know, going into this next chapter of my life where I'm getting married, I want to have kids. And, you know, I know it's premature to say because I'm not married yet, but all that shit starts now, right? Like if I'm going to bring a new life into this world that's going to look at me
for guidance in every way, I have to be good. So I encourage you guys to take time for you. And that doesn't mean just sitting there watching TV doing nothing. That actually means sitting down by yourself and asking yourself how you're doing, dealing with your thoughts and dealing with your emotions. If you take care of yourself, you will be happier. And if you don't, it's gonna catch up to you in the long run. I have to pee so bad that we're not even halfway. Turns out we could have went all along.
♪
Lunch these days have been salads. Now salads can either be depressing or quite delicious. And I think this one is really, really good. So I have the base being arugula. There's a lot of arugula in here, a lot of volume. Will keep me full. Next we're gonna add a full Granny Smith apple. She's been around the block, but still knows how to make my tongue dance. And these apples are expensive. One apple, $1.75. May have to switch over to Team Gala.
Just the apple in, then we're gonna go half an avocado. Boom, just like that. I have 200 grams of shaved leftover...
200 grams of shaved leftover chicken. And then I never caused any harm to add a little parm. So I add 30 grams of Parmesan cheese, 110 calories, goes a long way. So there is the salad. Now for the dressing, I already have a lot of the fat from the cheese and the avocado. I don't want any oil, so I have an oil-free, zero calorie dressing, which consists of half a lemon. I have a bunch of apple cider vinegar in here. Around a teaspoon of Dijon mustard, some salt, and then some dried oregano.
And then you just toss the salad like it's your wedding night. Really get in there, make sure every inch of this thing gets attention. And I tell you what, if you're not a salad person, you don't like salads, you think they suck, try this one. I think this one will convert you.
Look at the size of this thing, man. I'm eating good. Calories for the entire meal will be on the screen right now. I also slided in a piece of sourdough into the back door of this meal. So everything I'm eating today, along with all the exact measurements I'll put in the description, so if you guys want to follow along and make it precisely how I do, feel free to do so. So what I like to do is I get the piece of sourdough bread. I get some of the salad right on top. Mm-hmm.
Mmm. One thing that I notice is the better that I eat, the more whole food based I eat, the less hungry that I am and the less I need to consistently be eating. I used to be so like focused on low fat, just ways to kind of keep my calories down like rice cakes, Greek yogurt all the time. And I was hungry all the time. So I'm focusing more on getting like my good fats in. Avocados, a little bit more cheese. It's been good, feeling good. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Hey Josh, how am I doing Josh? You're doing great bud. Dinner the past several weeks has been pretty much the same thing, which has been this beautiful salad. Yet another salad. So in here we got a tomato, we got red onion, we got cilantro, cucumber, and my second avocado of the day. I mean a lot of avocados. You can call me Daddycado. And then on top we add eight ounces of some ground turkey, seasoned with some turmeric.
Now the sauce is important with this salad. So I like to put a juice of one full lime, a little bit of salt, dried oregano, and some cumin. And then the secret thing, the thing that me and Katie are obsessed with,
are these Japanese sweet potatoes. So they're pretty hard to find at regular grocery stores, but you can get them every time at Whole Foods. Now you might be, you know, I want to stick to the regular potatoes, but they are super good. It's a carb worth saying konichiwa to, okay? So this is the typical dinner lately. That's going to be it. Probably going to have a 300 to 400 calorie snack before bed. And yeah, that's the full day of eating.
Good morning! It is time for my final suit fitting and I'm in a bit of a pickle right now because you know obviously I want the suit to fit because the wedding is this week and otherwise I'd be screwed but the last time I tried the suit on was like over a month ago so I kind of want it to not fit and be a bit snug because then that would represent gains.
It looks beautiful, man. - Yes, we're making a fabulous suit for a great guy here. - Yeah, thank you. - A great guy, Mr. Will Tennyson. It's the funniest thing though, when I sent these measurements to my makers, they had to call and double check them a few times. They didn't believe a Goliath like yourself existed. - That's awesome. So if you guys need a custom suit and you're in Toronto, Eddie is your man, Mary Annie's. - Thanks, Will. - Yeah. - And we'd be happy to help.
Need a little bit of room just because I know I'm gonna be in food coma by the end of the night. Well, let's hope so. Yeah. You guys ever do like, calf padding? What? So comfy. Yeah, no, this is, this just feels like you're wearing a pajama. Yeah. It's so soft and it's so relaxed and so giving, but it's a fully structured, tailored garment. You can wear this to the gym. Yeah. No doubt about it. So this is what it looks like. My mind, like, with some tweaks. This is obviously gonna be navy. It's black right now. Just see what it looks like, but...
There we are. Now it's time to get married. Yes. Dear Katie, I remember the day we met. I remember the way you looked back and smiled at me for the very first time. The way you made me feel. I don't know how you always felt so familiar as you walked in the gym with your hair tied up, never any makeup on, and always with your broken pink beets. But every time I saw you, my heart would whisper, that's the one. And as someone who's scared to fall in love, you made me want to try. I'll never forget our first date.
So nervous knocking on your door your mom answered and then I saw you coming down the stairs looking so beautiful You took my breath away. We got stuck in traffic that I wish was longer We went to the arcade and we shared our very first donut that is now the cake at our wedding I think you know you've met someone special when you meet them and it feels like you're just picking up where you left off and when I was with you I felt complete
You became so important to me so quickly, I didn't want to go a day without you. We can sit and do nothing, but have fun because we were together. We really became best friends. The day I proposed to you, I told you. You made me realize that home is a feeling, not a place. You make me feel loved. You make me feel safe. You make me feel seen. And you make me feel at peace. And I wouldn't be where I am in this world without you. I can't wait to start a family with you. And I can't wait to see you as a mother of our child.
Katie, you were once a stranger, then my girlfriend. This is Katie. This is her first time introducing the channel. Are you nervous? Yes. Then my fiance, and now my wife. But what you'll always be to me is my gym crush. And I can't wait to tell you every day, even when we're old and gray, I love you, Mrs. Tennyson.
