Roblox's NEW Makeup is a DISASTER...

If you're not angry right now, you

should be. Roblox recently released a

music video calling all of their

players, that includes you, [music]

pimple-covered pizza-faced freaks.

Well, every Roblox player except for me,

of course, but fear not, guys. Roblox

has added a way for everyone to cover up

their imperfections with the new makeup

feature. Guys, we're all going to look

so beautiful. Oh. Well, uh

yeah, that didn't take very long at all.

Yet again, Roblox added a new feature to

the platform that not a single person

asked for. And just like the new dynamic

heads, it looks horrible. I originally

saw a video of people wearing the makeup

when I checked my phone on the morning

of April Fools' Day, and I genuinely

thought it was a joke, but no, it's real

and it's here to stay. If you can tell,

I have a lot of negative things to say

about this update, but before we get

into that, let's try to stay positive

and talk about the good things makeup

brings to the table. We got uh we got

some uh okay, we got we got some we got

some Spider-Man face paint. I mean,

that's that's pretty cool, right? Uh

what else? What else? Uh we got we got

some facial hair that makes your avatar

look like they aren't allowed near an

elementary school, and uh we got

um

yeah, this uh this update completely

sucks. I'm going to be honest, uh I

don't have anything good to say about

the new makeup update. I don't think the

concept of having makeup on Roblox is

bad. I mean, people have been making

makeup faces in UGC for years now, but

the way it was executed by Roblox just

wasn't good. A lot of the dynamic heads

are in an unfinished state as is, so why

Roblox decided to add another layer on

top of the already existing jank is kind

of crazy, but they did it, guys. And we

all have to sit here and accept this

update with open arms. Oh, Roblox, how

we love you. David, oh, you're just a

baby, David. You're just a baby. Why are

you doing this to us? Just by opening

the makeup tab on the catalog, you can

very clearly see which type of Roblox

avatar this update is created for and of

course it's the one that nobody uses,

Rthro. All three Rthro players are tap

dancing for joy right now while the rest

of us look like we got hit in the face

with a metal pipe when we try on

eyeshadow. Nice. Yeah, due to the way

Roblox's AI created the dynamic heads,

almost all of these makeups get

stretched and distorted when you try

them on. Obviously, you know, there are

certain faces that will work better than

others, but in most cases the makeup

just gets completely ruined. Let's take

this lipstick for example. You know, you

can tell that on the right avatar this

wouldn't look bad. I would go as far as

to say that it could look good. But when

I try it on I look like I contracted

herpes. And then there are these super

badass face tattoos that let everyone

know I'm hood rich, broken hearted, and

numb just like my idol emo Bart Simpson.

But when I try it on the text is barely

legible. How are people supposed to know

I'm dead inside? This update sucks.

Obviously, this is not the fault of any

of the UGC creators making this stuff

because as I said they were clearly

instructed by Roblox to design them

around the Rthro heads. But if almost

every single normal Roblox face looks

absolutely awful with the makeup on,

then why even let them wear it? Like I

don't know intellectual juice here, but

if the people at Roblox had a collective

of I don't know more [music] than two

brain cells, they would have made makeup

and all of the new dynamic face tracking

and Rthro exclusive thing. Doing

this would have added an insane amount

of customization and realism to Rthro

avatars that normal ones just wouldn't

have. And it might have even encouraged

some people to, you know, actually wear

these things for once. But no, of course

Roblox just wanted to rush out the

dynamic head so they could publish this

new update and let us create

masterpieces like this. The second I saw

this picture on TikTok I knew I had to

make a video about this, bro. This is

just This is crazy. There There a ton of

seemingly innocent white makeup

accessories you can put on your avatar

now and when on an arthro face they

don't look too bad. You know, I'm not

someone who wears makeup so I'm not

personally going to be rocking this look

but I can see the appeal to this. But

when you take these same white

accessories and wear them on a normal

Roblox face, I mean, can you see why

this might be an issue? The reason it

becomes a problem when you put this

stuff on a normal Roblox head is because

like I said earlier, due to the way the

dynamic heads were sloppily made, the

makeup gets stretched and distorted

which can cause them to look different

from the way they were originally

intended. Had Roblox actually taken the

time and care to integrate these new

features properly instead of just

pissing out new updates every week, this

wouldn't happen. And since we're on the

topic of shitty updates, I remember back

when Roblox first opened up public UGC,

there were a lot of quote unquote glue

faces going around and they were all

being deleted for obvious reasons. But

now Roblox has given the same people

that were wearing and making glue faces

the option to not just wear it with any

face that they like but even customize

the layout. Time and time again the bad

actors of the Roblox community continue

to benefit from shitty updates while the

rest of us have to sit here and suffer.

Now it goes without saying that stuff

like this is not the intended use for

the makeup feature. Like no But I

mean, come on bro. This is Roblox we're

talking about. There are a lot of sick

individuals that take innocent features

like this and absolutely destroy them. I

just can't help but have a feeling that

this is going to have similar negative

effects to Roblox opening up emos to the

public. But instead of having people

standing around everywhere twerking,

we're now going to have people standing

around everywhere twerking with stuff

all over their faces. And I'm sure

there's someone watching this right now

thinking to themselves, Dude, that is

just so weird. Like why would you even

think about that? Get your mind out of

the gutter, man. Geez. First off, bro,

uh like I said, I saw this on TikTok so

clearly I'm not the only person thinking

this way, but also considering all the

negative press surrounding Roblox right

now, you kind of have to think about

stuff like this. I mean, if I was an

employee at Roblox that was working on

this update, I would have tried to think

of every single way that this feature

could have been used or exploited to

appear inappropriate and eviscerate them

because continuing to just carelessly

add features that can and will be used

for inappropriate things is only going

to send Roblox further and further down

the pit that they've dug for themselves.

But, unfortunately, I don't work at

Roblox. And also, Roblox doesn't care

about getting out of the hole they're

in. In fact, from the looks of things,

they are trying their hardest to dive

headfirst all the way down to the center

of the earth. Because, guys, I regret to

inform all of you that this makeup

update is just the tip of the iceberg of

things to come. About a week ago, a

Roblox employee let all of us know that

Roblox is going to allow people to

further articulate R15 and R throw

avatars. What this means is people will

be able to add realistic movements to

things on the avatar like the spine, the

neck, wrists, fingers, and toes.

Huh. [snorts] Oh

my god.

Yeah, I wonder what genius at Roblox

thought this was a good idea, but let's

just say Rookie a Feet Hangout is about

to get a lot more immersive, guys.

Welcome to the metaverse. The future is

now. In all seriousness though, I hope

that makeup doesn't become a huge issue

and I'm just making a big deal out of

nothing. I mean, I don't doubt people

are going to do weird with this new

feature because, like I said, when it

comes to weird stuff on Roblox, if

there's a will, there is a way. But, I

honestly think freaks like that will be

few and far between because from what

I've seen, no one is using makeup on

their avatars, at least not in any of

the servers I've been in. But, who

knows, you know, this update is fairly

new. Maybe Roblox will fix some of the

issues and add some level of censorship

to the makeup and turn all of this

around. Because like I said in the

beginning, adding a new layer of

customization through makeup isn't a bad

idea in my opinion. Roblox just executed

this idea a little poorly, but it's

nothing that they can't fix. For once, I

have faith in them.
